Join Fiddle classes with Caoimhe Kearins - Mondays Term of 10 weeks

We are delighted to let you know that Caoimhe Kearins will be starting weekly fiddle classes in Ballintogher Enterprise Centre on Monday Evenings from Mon Jan 6th 2025 from 6:30pm. These classes will commence subject to demand. There is a big gap in accessing regular quality fiddle in-person tuition for orchestra members and young musicians and Caoimhe has indicated her availability

Details of Fiddle classes with Caoimhe Kearnis:

Term of 10 weeks will be E130, Caoimhe will take beginner, intermediate & advanced fiddle in 3 small groups. Classes start on week of Jan 13th 2025

6:30pm: Beginners- -Please note we have a number of fiddles to rent- see below

7PM: Intermediate small group

7:30pm: Advanced fiddle- small group.

Fiddle dates for 10 week term as follows:

  1. Monday 13.01

  2. Mon 20.01

  3. Mon  27.01

NO CLASS 03.02- St.Brigid’s day (BH)

4.     Mon 10.02

5.     Mon 17.02

NO CLASS 24.02- after midterm break

6.     Mon 03.03

7.     Mon 10.03

NO CLASS- 17.03- st Patrick’s day

Concertinas, Fiddles & Harps & Flutes available to rent- We are delighted to let you know also that we have a number of new concertinas, fiddles, flutes & harps available for renting to orchestra members, following an instrument bursary award from Music Network. Caoimhe Kearins is an immensely talented multi-instrumentalist as well as singer. In 2018, Caoimhe was the Senior All-Ireland Fiddle Champion (one of the most coveted titles in Traditional Irish Music), Winner of the Fiddler of Dooney 2017, All-Ireland Senior Female Singing Champion 2016, two time All- Ireland Senior Trio Champion 2009 and 2015, and All- Ireland Senior Lilting Champion 2011.
